Today is my birthday. And like most people, I enjoy celebrating my birthday. I enjoy the attention, the gifts, the cake, the candles, and the memories.
But birthdays are also a reminder of our mortality. They’re a reminder that we’re getting older and that one day, we’re going to die.
That may sound morbid, but it’s the truth. And it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Birthdays remind us to live our lives to the fullest and appreciate every moment.
So, today, I’m going to celebrate my birthday and be grateful for another year of life. I’m going to cherish the time with my family and friends, and make memories that will last a lifetime.
